Founder
Dr. Gregory A. Christopher is a visionary leader, renowned clinical researcher, and the driving force behind GGAC Research. Born and raised in Norway, Dr. Christopher has dedicated his life to advancing medical science and improving global healthcare. He now resides primarily in the United States, where he continues to lead transformative initiatives in clinical research and public health.
Dr. Christopher earned his medical degree and PhD in Infectious Diseases from the prestigious University of Tromsø, Norway. His academic excellence and passion for improving lives propelled him to pursue a career that combines clinical practice with groundbreaking research.

A significant portion of Dr. Christopher’s career has been dedicated to the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Under his leadership, GGAC Research has become a global pioneer in ALS drug development, contributing to the discovery and clinical validation of therapies that have provided hope to patients worldwide. His work has not only advanced scientific understanding of ALS but also set new standards for conducting ethical, patient-focused research.
In 1993, Dr. Christopher founded GGAC Research with the mission of delivering innovative, high-quality clinical research services. His journey took on a deeply personal dimension when he established the GGAC Research Foundation in memory of his daughter, Maria, who was tragically born with anencephaly and passed away shortly after birth.
The GGAC Research Foundation, primarily funded by 50% of GGAC Research’s revenue, is dedicated to supporting research, education, and patient care initiatives for rare diseases, including ALS. Through this foundation, Dr. Christopher has turned personal tragedy into a legacy of hope, impacting countless lives around the globe.
